If you made the decision to vacation in St. Croix and do not want to be boxed into a hotel for a week, the absolute most private and peaceful beach house rental on the island is the Lymin House. Tucked away on the East side of St. Croix island, it is thirty seconds by car to the Divi Bay Resort and Casino. I could have stayed there or the Bucaneer, but I wanted privacy and direct ocean front property. This St. Croix beach house rental is perfect for couples or vacationers who wish for ocean sounds and privacy above quick access to town. Sweeping ocean views are incredible from every room. On separate sides of the Lymin House St. Croix vacation beach house rental is a master king and a queen. Each has a private entry to the deck area. Each room has a glass wall and a mattress made in Heaven. What a life. There is nothing between your living room and the most beautiful scenery on Earth. This piece of rental Heaven on Earth boasts ocean front views, close proximity to a casino, hot tub, pool and lighted entertainment area. The rental agent was fabulous and they asked if they could stock the refrigerator for us before we arrived. They also offered someone to meet us at the airport and drive us to our ocean beach house for the week. The Lymin House was about 15 minutes from the airport down winding roads.
The above video shows the drive up to the Lymin House where you pass the Divi Bay Casino on the left and the Divi Bay Resort on the right. Another minute or so up the road on the right, you’re home!
I am in love with this so called Lymin house. When you walk in the front door, you realize the turquoise ocean color is literally the back wall. Your mood rises with the sun and it is amazing. The ocean sounds wash away your regular life and you know you are on vacation. You have to close the sliding glass doors to the dining porch to silence the ocean but I didn’t. I was so in love with this house I video taped every inch of it in case I was able to build a beach house like it there one day.
The bathrooms are private and oh so tropical. Every inch of this St. Croix vacation rental villa has a piece of art that is bright and coastal. I used the private outside stone shower every day. The kitchen is nothing to write home about except the view but I grilled every single day on the most amazing deck on the island. The screened dining room overlooking the ocean is lined with sea shells. It is the piece de resistance because it is a screened patio opening to the left and right with each side showcasing a private deck and patio furniture. The laundry room is built on the concrete deck area which has a washer and dryer. You will find fishing gear, snorkeling equipment and towels.
The lighted tiled concrete deck area is large and has several beach lawn chairs to lay out and enjoy the St. Croix blue ocean and perfect weather. Did I mention the infinity pool? You will be hard pressed to find a private villa on the ocean with a pool and wait for it…. a hot tub with lights. There is a land line which you can use to call anywhere and free Wi-Fi. We used it to call for deliveries from amazing restaurants. I have to give a shout out to the Balter which boasts an award winning chef. The Mahi Mahi sandwich was to die for. When I wanted pizza, I walked a few minutes to the Divi Bay Resort and Casino. The pizza vendor was on the front grounds. You can rent kayaks from the resort. When I wanted to gamble, I walked to the casino which is across the street from the Divi Bay Resort. The drinks are free. I won almost five hundred dollars on my last night in St. Croix which paid for all the rum, fresh fish, tuna steaks, shrimp, ribeyes, lattes and groceries we bought at the Seaside Grocery Store. We did run by Ziggy’s as seen on HGTV. It is the gas station with gourmet food where we bought a Cuban sandwich. Bring your own Dr. Pepper and Cheetos because it is impossible to come by on the island.
The Lymin House in St. Croix is my chez away from chez or maybe I should say beach house away from chez. It was about twenty two hundred dollars to stay there for seven days but since I have never gotten over it, I would say it was worth it. They even send people to clean and restock once in the week. The beach in front of the Lymin house was not as pristine as the beaches on the
north side but we still walked on it every day. You can kayak for sure with a rental from the Divi Bay Resort. There is air conditioning in each bedroom. A cool breeze in the living room helps wash away real life stress. A beach house rental in St. Croix is where it’s at. I wasn’t worried about fancy. I can get fancy at any hotel. What I got instead out of this villa was a piece of heaven. I went in November and got a tan. Leave your story in the book on the coffee table.
