In the Senate Judiciary Hearing August 05, 2020 the former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates testified that she had no idea what her deputy, Bruce Ohr was doing.
Senator Hawley questioned Yates on whether she knew her Deputy Bruce Ohr was actively facilitating contact between political parties and FBI and Steele and also with the State Department.
Sally Yates was asked:
Is it normal for you to allow your deputy to facilitate contact with political parties between the FBI and also with the State Department?
Is that routine behavior?

Yates replied that she was completely unaware of Bruce Ohr’s actions.
It is at this point Josh Hawley hints at a potential cover up in fiery exchange with Sally Yates.
