Last updated September 7, 2026. Lone Star Card login is how you check Texas SNAP and TANF on the card. Use YourTexasBenefits.com, the official app, your last receipt, or 800-777-7328. HHSC does not support random balance apps. A third-party site can steal your PIN.
Official Lone Star Card login options
Texas Health and Human Services lists three safe ways to see your balance.
- Log in at YourTexasBenefits.com.
- Use the Your Texas Benefits app.
- Call the Lone Star Help Desk at 800-777-7328.
The last grocery receipt also shows the remaining SNAP amount. Some stores let you check the balance on the card reader before you shop.

How to log in on the website
- Open YourTexasBenefits.com. Type that address yourself.
- Click Log in.
- Enter your username and password.
- Open the Lone Star Card or EBT section.
- View the SNAP balance, recent purchases, and deposit dates.
No account yet? Click Create an account on the same site. You will need an email address and details from your case.
Forgot the username or password? Use the reset links on the login screen. Do not call a number from a text message.
How to log in on the official app
Download only the app published by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.
Then set up or sign in to the same account. In the app you can:
- See the Lone Star Card balance
- Read recent transactions
- Change your PIN
- Freeze or unfreeze the card
- Request a replacement card
- Upload documents and report case changes
Check the balance by phone
Call 800-777-7328 (7EBT). Have the 16-digit card number ready. For a case or application question, call 2-1-1 or 877-541-7905. After the language menu, press 2.
Hearing or speech disability: use 7-1-1 or any relay service.
Lost card, stolen card, or fraud
Call 800-777-7328 at once. Change the PIN. Cancel the old card. Then report fraud at ReportTexasFraud.com.
HHSC and the Lone Star Help Desk will not call, text, or email to ask for your PIN. They will not send a payment link. Freeze the card in the app if the plastic is missing.
HHS also says to change the PIN often. Once a month is the agency tip.
Texas SNAP amounts still in force
Fiscal year 2026 maxima run through September 30, 2026. A family of four can get up to $994. One person can get up to $298. Your actual amount depends on income. Texas subtracts 30 percent of net income from the maximum for your household size. Full charts are in our Texas SNAP benefits 2026 guide.
