Hundreds of lawyers and law professors signed a letter to the National Conference of Bar Examiners. Letters indicated many are not satisfied with the one size fits all products offered in the women’s bathroom. Another thought was the products are not equipped in the men’s restroom for transgender examinees. The policy was thought to be discriminatory against women, who at one time did not have a restroom of their own while taking the exam.
After all is said and done, with the support of two Texas Supreme Court justices including Brett Busby and Eva Guzman, it was determined that it is unlikely a reasonable or meaningful amount of cheating or information can be written even on a Texas sized tampon.
Texas sized tampons are no longer barred from the Texas bar exam. However, the products will now be allowed unwrapped and secured in plastic bags for inspection. Does it take the wisdom of Solomon to decide between women’s health and the integrity of the Texas bar exam?
