2-1-1 is still the cleanest statewide router. Ask for food. Then ask whether your county has a storm-replacement SNAP window.
Bexar County’s replacement deadline is September 17. Call 2-1-1, pick a language, then press 7. HHSC says replacement funds should hit the Lone Star Card within two business days.

Why Texas food banks this week feel thinner
Capacity is not a green light on a map. It is whether the partner pantry still has produce at 4 p.m.
The Texas Tribune reported this month that Feeding Texas absorbed $88.4 million in federal funding reductions and 40% less in federal commodities. Houston Food Bank’s projected federal cuts topped $32 million. Central Texas Food Bank lost $5.5 million in purchasing dollars.
Houston Food Bank has said it is spreading about the same pounds across more people. San Antonio and Central Texas have rationed supply. Therefore, go early. Bring bags. Bring ID if the site asks.
